Drop by the Juniper Bay Metals Studio on Saturday, November 28th (Small Business Saturday!) from 1-5pm and knock out some holiday gift shopping while supporting a cause that is near to my heart. For every piece of jewelry sold in-store on Saturday, I will donate 15% to the Chris Baldwin Memorial Music Project. 

Chris Baldwin was a longtime, close friend of mine who passed away too soon back in February 2014. He was a truly special and caring individual and, among many other things, was an incredible musician and songwriter.

Chris' loving fiancee, Margaret, works for the wonderful Tammy Lynn Center for Disabilities (TLC) here in Raleigh. TLC "...empowers families and enriches the lives of children and adults through education, community and support services." They "provide hope and opportunities for individuals to learn, live and grow to their fullest potential." 

Margaret created the Chris Baldwin Memorial Music Project to honor Chris though a music therapy program for TLC's residents and students. Before this program was created, TLC had no formal music therapy program. Now they have a weekly music session and are beginning to acquire equipment and technology to assist folks with varying abilities in creating musical experiences.
